Google Scholar Help

Google Scholar Help

Google Scholar is an article search tool. Filtering and sorting functions are far less robust than our library subscription databases

Set up Google Scholar to search FMU databases off-campus:

  1. Go to the Google Scholar page. In the upper right of the page you will see a link to Settings.
  2. Go to Library Links and type in "James A. Rogers Library".
  3. Select James A. Rogers Library - E-Resources @ FMU.  Save your preferences.
To have your preferences saved for the next time you use Google Scholar, make sure to sign in with your Google account.

Access library-paid articles from Google Scholar:

Use the links on the RIGHT-hand side of the page.  Clicking the main link to the article (center of the page) will not get you library-paid access.

If off campus, you will be prompted to login using your name and barcode before accessing library-paid articles.
